Night Sky in Namibia Mexico City For the Thirty Days 2011

For the Thirty Days 2011 project I decided to head to Jim Baker Reservoir to check it out

While they are working on clearing the road you can park and walk up the road

This afternoon I decided to walk around this area to capture some images of the trees near the Colorado Convention Center

I noticed the light shining on this wall providing the shadow

Knowing Rainbow Curve was not too far away I made it to the turnoff with about 10 minutes to spare prior to sunrise

Night Sky in Namibia Mexico City For the Thirty Days 2011Staying in the NamibRand Nature Reserve we were able to get out to photograph the night sky in a Dark Sky Reserve. The night sky lit with what we normally cannot see with our eyes. Using trees as a foreground, the milky way and much more of the galaxy and beyond is seen in this photograph.
