On the inside it is immaculately constructed with a cup built in at for the breasts so no undergarment is needed and it is finished with two layers of fine

The skirt is wonderful and flows to the floor in a cascade of silk chiffon

Waist: 16” from side seam to side seam

If you turn it around and wear the more exposed side to the front it creates a more halter effect

This is a wonderful and rare example of his work during this time period and it is also just a really terrific dress

He would have been more personally involved in them and they really showcase the designer he was to become. It reminds me of the butterfly front dress jerry Hall wore for the Fall 1979 show and I suspect that this was made in and around that time period.
